Miller Newberg has teamed with First Consulting, a Kansas City based firm of compliance experts, to help facilitate Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA) compliance, which is required for certain enterprises effective January 1, 2015. We are happy to announce the continuation of our joint ORSA webinar series. On April 1, Part III of the series begins with new content and information on the NAIC ORSA Model Law. Anyone who has already participated in one or more of First Consulting’s recent “Friends and Clients” webinars will want to sign up for Series III and invite your CROs, CFOs, and CCOs to attend.
What’s new? Our own Carolyn Covington, FSA, CERA, MAAA, an actuarial risk management expert, will present “Economic Capitol 101.” This will deliver critical knowledge so that you can fully understand the ORSA Model Law requirements. In addition, Carol Stern, FLMI, AIRC, ACS of First Consulting will discuss implementation of an ORSA ERM framework including:
• Drafting an ERM policy for your organization
• Implementing best practices for ERM/ORSA
• Determining job responsibilities of a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) or ERM Program Director
